Sealed proposals will be received by the Purchasing Specialist at the Raymore City Hall, 100 Municipal Circle, Raymore, Missouri, until 11:00 a.m. on May 9, 2017. In accordance with the Missouri Sunshine Law, RSMo 610.021, the proposals for the above project will be opened on said date and time and only the bidder name will be read aloud along with required documents checked for responsiveness. On all requests and correspondence, please reference RFP Number 17-002.
The City of Raymore and City of Belton will accept proposals from qualified firms interested in being the sole provider for Residential Waste Collection within the City limits of each respective city. The work under this Proposal consists of the following:
Trash Pickup, Recyclables pickup, and yard waste pickup. Large household items to be picked up on an on-call basis.
Major goals of both the City of Raymore and the City of Belton are to decrease tonnage sent to the landfills or transfer stations, to increase recycling and to constrain the increase in costs of all collections.
A bid bond or certified check from a surety or bank, acceptable to the Purchasing Specialist of Raymore and the Finance Director for Belton, in the amount of $10,000.00 must accompany each proposal. An unacceptable bid security may be cause for rejection of the proposal by either, and/or both the City of Raymore and the City of Belton. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date of opening of bids.
The City of Raymore and the City of Belton reserve the right to jointly reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities or deficiencies therein. The City of Raymore and the City of Belton also reserve the right to negotiate jointly with any or all bidders or others for more favorable terms or prices, and to award a contract to other than the bidder submitting the lowest cost bid proposal, with or without negotiation and to determine which is the lowest best and most responsive, to accept, at their joint option.
