Untreated stormwater runoff is a major source of pollution in urbanized areas. Under a state permit, the City develops and maintains a Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP), which addresses activities that may contribute to pollution within the community. The SWMP is updated every five years.

The City of Belton has enacted a Traffic Snow Emergency from 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, due to winter weather conditions.

One bulky item per month will be collected at Belton households. Scheduled collection for one "no charge bulky item" is on the 2nd full collection week of each month (Monday begins the week). Please have your items curbside on your regularly scheduled trash day by 7 a.m.
