Untreated stormwater runoff is a major source of pollution in urbanized areas. Under a state permit, the City develops and maintains a Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP), which addresses activities that may contribute to pollution within the community. The SWMP is updated every five years.

Markey Parkway Phase Two Public Meeting

February 24, 2026

This meeting will present the preliminary project plans and outline the proposed detour routes. Attendees will have the opportunity to review the information and learn more about what to expect during construction.

2026 Curbside Bulky Item Pickup

March 09, 2026

One bulky item per month will be collected at Belton households. Scheduled collection for one "no charge bulky item" is on the 2nd full collection week of each month (Monday begins the week). Please have your items curbside on your regularly scheduled trash day by 7 a.m.
