2020 Inflow and Infiltration Reduction Project

Sealed proposals will be received by the Public Works Director of the City of Belton at Belton City Hall, 506 Main Street, Belton, Missouri, 64012 until 10:00 a.m., local time, on December 22, 2020, at which bidding will be closed. All bids will be opened and read aloud. On all requests and correspondence, please reference RFP Number 20-016.
Project Description
Project consists of rehabilitating manholes and service connections to reduce infiltration and inflow.
Manhole rehabilitation includes chemical grouting all pipe seals, manhole joints and wall and bench joints in each manhole; installing chimney seals; and removing and grouting manhole steps in the prescribed area, raising manholes (if required) by the addition of a 2’ barrel section, and adjusting manholes to grade.
Service rehabilitation includes excavating in street right-of-way, removing and replacing one full length of sewer main pipe with a watertight service tee connection, and replacing or abandoning service line to the right-of-way.
The specific locations of the work to be done shall be contained in the special provisions section of the bid document. The Contractor shall bid on all work.
All equipment, materials, and workmanship must be in accordance with the Specifications and other Contract Documents.
