Liquor License Applications and Information
Please submit all documents along with fee and additional paperwork to the City Clerk's office. Liquor License fees are prorated. Different types of licenses have different fees and requirements. Click here for information on paying your Liquor License fee online.
New Liquor License Applicants
Belton Liquor License Application(PDF, 253KB)(for new applicants only)
An active Belton Business License is required before a Belton Liquor License can be issued. (They can be applied for simultaneously) Please submit your application, additional paperwork, and $100 investigation fee to the City Clerk's office. cityclerk@belton.org
New applications to sell liquor must be approved by the City Clerk and Belton Police Department. Upon approval, the liquor license fee will be calculated. Fees are prorated.
Renewal and Expiration of existing licenses
5/21/2024 UPDATE - Although there is a delay in renewing 2024 Belton Business Licenses, Belton Liquor Licenses expire June 30. City liquor licenses will retain their July 1-June 30 license period to coincide with the state license period.
For renewal, please submit an updated State Liquor License(s) and appropriate fee. Renewals must be received by July 31, 2024.
