2024 Business License Renewal Delayed until January 1, 2025
In early 2023, city staff began working on a new integrated online platform for licensing. The new platform will allow for online renewing, paying, and downloading of licenses. Its streamlined approach will provide businesses with email notices and a 365-day license rather than mailed notices and a license that expires every June 30.
Unfortunately, there have been delays in its launch that will impact the June 30, 2024, renewal period. Businesses with an active business license on June 30, 2024, will have their license period automatically extended to January 1, 2025, with no penalty. Current business license holders will be notified of this extension.
Below are frequently asked questions about the 2024 business license renewal delay. If you need further assistance, or don't see your answer below, please reach out to the City Clerk's office. 816-331-4331 or cityclerk@belton.org
