The City of Belton provides one 96-gallon trash cart to each eligible residence.* Each cart has a serial number assigned to an individual street address, not to an individual customer. Please do not move the cart from its assigned address. If you have questions about the cart or would like a second 96-gallon trash cart, you can Request An Additional Cart, email utilities@belton.org or call City Hall at 816-331-4331. If you are unable to move the 96-gallon cart to the curb, please email or call City Hall. There are a limited number of smaller carts, with preference given to elderly/disabled residents.
GFL begins their route at 7 a.m. each day. All items must be to the curb by 7 a.m. on your assigned day to ensure timely pick up. All trash bags must fit in the cart. Do not place anything on top of the cart. An additional cart can be added to your bill for an additional $6.02 and requested by emailing utilities@belton.org or by calling (816)331-4331. Extra bag tags can be purchased for additional bags. A sheet of 5 tags costs $6.50 and can be used for extra trash bags on the ground OR extra yard waste. Please email to have these mailed to you or stop by City Hall.
The cart must be placed at the street curb, away from mailboxes, low hanging branches, shrubbery or other obstacles, including cars. Please place the cart wheels toward the house.
*The City of Belton does not provide solid waste/yard wast/bulky pick up service for Crown Communities, Lazy Acres, Oakhill, Peaceful Homes, Plaza Acres, Southfork, Springdale Lake, or Tuscany Village neighborhoods.
