Payment Extensions

If you are unable to pay your utility bill prior to the disconnection date, you may be eligible for a 7 day extension agreement for a $10 fee (this fee is not applied to your account balance). The agreement must be submitted by 5pm on the date that the “past due balance” is due (found on your monthly statement).  Only one extension per billing cycle is allowed.

Failure to pay the full amount due within the 7 day extension will result in a $35 service charge and service disconnection

On Line

Step 1.You will need your City of Belton utility account number as well as your method of payment

Step 2.Complete form and payment

Step 4.Failure to pay the full amount due within the 7 day extension will result in a $35 charge and disconnection.

In Person

Step 1.Come to City Hall (506 Main St)

Step 2.Complete and sign form

Step 3.Pay $10 (not applied to account balance)

Step 4.Failure to pay the full amount due within the 7 day extension will result in a $35 service charge and disconnection.
