Council to Host Virtual & In-Person Budget Town Hall Nov. 4 & Nov. 6
Published on October 28, 2024
The City’s annual budget is one of the most important functions of your City Council.
It helps set the course for your community for next year and publicly shows how the City will be allocating more than $130 million in projects, people and programs that keep Belton moving forward.
Before the Council can begin creating next year’s budget, they need to hear from you about what projects or initiatives you want to make sure are included.
Join City Council members and City staff for two town halls (both in person and virtually) as they discuss the budget process, accomplishments from the past year’s budget and what is planned for next year.
There will be two opportunities for residents to weigh in and add their voice to this critical process:
- 6pm on Monday, Nov. 4
- 6pm on Wednesday, Nov. 6
- Both meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers (520 Main St.)
- Both meetings will also be live streamed. CLICK HERE TO WATCH LIVE
Staff and Council will be taking question from attendees both online and in person.
Want to submit your questions early? Email staff your budget questions or requests to Assistant City Manager Mike Ekey at MEkey@Belton.org
A quorum of the City Council may be in attendance; however, no City Council votes will be taken. Agenda posted at 520 Main St., Belton, Missouri and on www.belton.org on Oct. 28, 2024, by City Clerk Andrea Cunningham.
